Command System

The Command System is how HiFi Control maps user actions to application functionality. Commands are named actions (like “Volume Up” or “Play/Pause”) that can be triggered from multiple places: hotkeys, presets, buttons, or hardware controllers like the Surface Dial.

Commands can be invoked by:

  • Hotkeys: Global keyboard shortcuts
  • Presets: Automated action sequences
  • UI Controls: Buttons and menus in the application
  • Hardware Controllers: Surface Dial rotation and click events
